Filmkontakt Nord is present at the major international film- & tv markets hosting Nordic delegations, marketing films and promoting small and medium-sized producers.

During international film and television markets, Filmkontakt Nord acs as matchmaker and facilitator, offering expertise on co-production, marketing, distribution and sales, thus paving the way for producers into the international market.

FkN arranges info meetings and mini-seminars, sets up group meetings with decision-makers and experts, organises social gatherings and networking opportunities for the Nordic filmmakers.

FkN regularly attends Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival & Market (FR), Visions du Réel (CH), Hot Docs (CA), Sheffield Doc/Fest (UK), Sunny Side of the Doc (FR), Cinekid (NL), DOK Leipzig (DE) and IDFA (NL).

Nordic Presence

Filmkontakt Nord also attends the major festivals in the Nordic region like Göteborg International Film Festival (SE), Tempo Documentary Festival (SE), Tampere International Short Film Festival (FI), BUFF - The International Children and Young People's Film Festival (SE), The Norwegian Short Film Festival - Grimstad (NO), Odense International Film Festival (DK) and CPH:DOX (DK).

At the Nordic festivals FkN often offers individual project consultation through Nomadic Office. During Nomadic Office FkN offers expertise on international co-production, marketing, distribution and sales to the Nordic producers working with short and documentary film projects.
