Power houses for Nordic shorts and documentaries

Amongst the Nordic nations there are several regions with local resource centres focused on the local development of film. A majority of these fill an important role in enhancing the regional film production, particularly in the area of short and documentary filmmaking.

Many resource centers also give emphasis to talent development, the dissemination of know-how and the regional distribution of film.

Some of the Nordic resource centres also administer local film funds as well as regional film commissions.

The Nordic film regions meet at Nordisk Panorama Event to discuss mutual cooperation in the field of shorts and documentaries. The event is hosted by Filmkontakt Nord.
